Winter Blur is this website, showcasing some of the places I explored during a road trip to Calgary during the holiday season of Christmas 2003 / New Year's 2004. All the photos, mission reports, web design and coding were done by Reduxzero (EXCEPT- THANKS to ANYMOUSE for letting me use a couple of his cool, blurry photos for the index page and extras page!)

Listen up, kids: Never leave your tripod behind when you think there's a chance you might need it. And even if you don't think you'll need it, bring it anyway. If you're doing some cool urban exploration, you'll want the cool photos to go along with it. And although blurry photos can be cool, you don't want a whole roll of slightly fuzzy photos (and paying for blurry photos is stupid). Remember: most of UE is dark or dim; and if you want good photos, your tripod can't help you if you left it at home.

Also- Calgary can be really fuckin' cold during the winter. Make sure you bring a jacket (or have nice friends that will lend you one and don't mind if you get it dirty exploring; thanks Skaught)! But it is a fantastic city! Beautiful downtown, and lots of square drains. I highly recommend a visit, even if you're not an explorer.
